This is my first year teaching Spanish at Mendham High School. I taught at WMC last Spring and at a small private school for six years before that, where I was also Assistant Director. Iím originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I came to the US for college (Babson College BS and MBA alumn, and Spanish certification from Thomas Edison College and Rutgers University).
Learning a second language has incredible benefits but itís up to you to harness that potential. I will work hard on making Spanish come alive for you but itís up to every student how far they will go. Just as you learn an instrument by actually playing it, you will be more successful in your language acquisition goals by actually using and practicing the language. Effort goes a long way in my class. I believe in your potential and your ability to succeed!
My door is always open and I encourage positive communication at all times. The best way to reach me is via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Iím available for extra help on Tuesdays after school in Room 127. I encourage all students to come see me if they need help and to always ask questions if unsure, chances are somebody else has the same question!
All my class information will be on Haiku. Please check it daily for updates.
