West Morris Mendham has been recognized as a National Banner School with Special Olympics National.
According to Special Olympics, "A Special Olympics Unified Champion School® demonstrating commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence receives national banner recognition. A Special Olympics Unified Champion School has an inclusive school climate and exudes a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff".
This is a national award which includes nomination from the state-level Special Olympics branch and ultimate consideration and selection from Special Olympics national. Both West Morris Mendham and West Morris Central are each 1 of the 155 schools selected throughout the country. Congratulations to our students, coaches, and school community!
